Dock & Door Field Service Technician

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for FULL-TIME TECHNICIANS for a locally owned material handling company. We are seeking experienced Field Technicians to service dock levelers, overhead doors, high speed doors, and other warehouse equipment.

1 + years' experience working on warehouse doors is a plus. Training will be provided.

Must have good selection of tools, clean MVR and the ability to complete paperwork and timecards on a daily basis.

Experience with loading dock equipment maintenance, installation and repair is a plus. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, motors, doors, levelers, vehicle restraints, etc. Must have electrical experience in reading voltages, diagnosing electrical components, and tracing wires. Welding experience is required.

Technician will safely travel to the customer's location, locate the equipment requiring service, diagnose the problem with the equipment, communicate with the customer both verbally and in writing to explain the needed repairs, get approval on repair work and proceed accordingly with the repairs. Simply being able to "fix" the equipment is only a part of this job.

We are not looking for someone to simply repair docks and doors. The successful candidate will be able to complete this process on a continual basis.
